The winter storm warning turned to a blizzard warning and we were let go from work at 3 p.m. today. One of my co-workers, who was leaving even earlier, told me he was going to go clear off his car and that he'd clear our boss' car at the same time. So I jokingly asked about my car and he said, "Which one is it?" I told him not to worry about it and he went on his way. He came back a little while later still bundled up and carrying an ice scraper to ask me where I was parked. And you know what? He scrapped all the ice from my car! What a sweetheart!
It was a long, slow drive home. Though I did get quite a bit of knitting done on the drive. Don't worry, I only knitted while the car was stationary...unfortunately, it was stationary a lot. But check this out...

Yep, our sidewalk has been cleared. I was pretty excited not to have to trudge through a bunch of snow to get to the house. Ah, now doesn't this sight just make you want to grab a snow shovel and join in? Yeah, me neither.

So, who do I have to thank for the clear sidewalk? Why Julius of course!

He was in a much better mood over the snow than I was...see, he's trying to earn money for a new game controller. I hope the predictions of a foot or more of snow by tomorrow afternoon are wrong. I've already had to cancel part of my weekend plans. Oh well, guess I will be getting a lot of stuff done at home.
