Enough with the Snow!

It stopped snowing for several hours last night. Long enough to raise my hopes that the weather forecaster was wrong.

It started again early this morning and it hasn't stopped. We're now at a level 2 snow emergency and my car is getting buried:

That dark bit of snow at the bottom of the photo is our porch step...there's no longer any sign of our sidewalk.

Nothing makes you want to be out more than having to stay in. I cannot deal with this weather, so I'll be staying in and keeping warm.

I'm on the next to last row of the Forest Canopy Shawl...so that will be done soon. Can't wait to see the finished shawl. I'll be starting my sample sock from the Tsocks 101 kit this weekend. I need to hurry up and learn how to knit socks. The Flock Sock Club was to start in February, but due to high demand raised by the Yarn Harlot, they're out of yarn...can you imagine that? Out of yarn! So the delay, while very sad for all the members, will at least give me time to knit a sample sock and then my first pair of socks. Yeah, I procrastinated, but it will work out just fine.

I was just coming over to see if you blogged about your snowstorm! Under the kids' fort, I see GRASS! Real, actual grass! I will take a picture and post it later today for your enjoyment...from the looks of things, you can use some grass pictures!
