Michael and I are getting married! We started looking for rings in December and he finally asked me a couple of weeks ago. We got the ring this past Friday.
Yes, I've spent a lot of my on-line time these past few weeks researching engagement rings and doing some preliminary wedding/honeymoon planning. It really cuts into any blogging time.
Well, here's the ring:
It looks much better IRL, but the lighting in the house is bad and it was a bit overcast yesterday when we were taking pictures. I can't tell you how many rings I looked at trying to find just the right one! I'm really happy with my choice though. I think it suits me well.
It will be a long engagement; we're planning on April 10, 2009 for the wedding (our 5th anniversary). After our San Francisco vacation, I won't have much time left over for a honeymoon, so we're going to wait a year. BTW, if you have any recommendations on places to go/things to do in SF leave me a comment. I'm still trying to get our itinerary worked out.

And my friend at work is going to SF next week, so I'll let you know what she recommends...she goes every year!
