Goal progress

Okay, so I'm still walking around with a goofy grin on my face checking my left hand about every 3 minutes...but I can't help it! The photo in the last post doesn't do it justice; it's also no longer accurate. This past Tuesday, I took it back in to the jewelers to have them lower the mount (I had wanted a low mount, but forgot to specify it when we ordered the ring) and do the appraisal. As much as I loved it before, I love it even more now. The lower mount is more to my taste and style.

Can't believe I forgot to mention them, but Michael bought the ring at Worthington Jewelers. They're great! They do wonderful custom jewelry also, so check them out if you're in the area.

I'm doing pretty good on my resolutions/goals so far this year. We were out today looking for a recumbent exercise bicycle for me. We lucked out and found a decent used one at the thrift store. Michael has it mostly working, but the one computer function that I really want (tracking mileage) is the one he can't get to work. No worries though as he says we can just buy a cheap bike computer and hook it up. I'm very excited! My healthy lifestyle goal for this month was to get a bike so that I could do my aerobic exercise at home.

As for knitting goals, I've already accomplished one! Using Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitting Workshop book & DVD, I've learned to do basic fair isle knitting! Okay, the hat isn't actually finished, but the fair isle part of it is and I'm just getting ready to do the crown decreases. I even managed to learn how to knit continental style! It makes doing the fair isle easier. I had it on my original list, but considering how difficult it was for me when I'd tried it before, I took it off the list. I didn't want to overburden myself.

I'm also about half-way done with my first shawl, so that goal is almost completed. There's been lots of yarn buying lately and also a few weeks ago, but I kind of failed to mention it. I'll try to get some photos tomorrow.

Oh, and the terrible bowling streak is over. By last Sunday, my average was down to 111! It was quite upsetting. But I bowled well, even getting a 137 in one game! We think it might have been the influence of the ring.

WTG on the bowling! Behold the power of the ring!

Can't wait to see the new mounting!

Good job on the goals...I have been a horrible slacker this past week and not done anything. Bah! It is a new week and I promise to do better. Hopefully with less Twix Bars!
