Joined Ravelry

I got my Ravelry invite today! Profile name is rubyknits. So instead of knitting, I spent what little time I had before bowling setting up my account and just taking a look around. I really need to get more photos of my completed projects. So I have lots to keep me busy…and no, I’m not trying to procrastinate on my holiday knitting.

Actually, I started my holiday knitting in May. I’ve had to scale my list of knitted gifts down to 22 items. So far, nine are completed, five are off the needles awaiting finishing (embellishments or just plain old weaving in tails), and then another two are on the needles. Two of them were for a November birthday, so they were gifted this weekend. I’m making good progress in spite of my limited free time. I sneak in knitting wherever I can...during my lunch break, while someone else is driving, sitting in restaurants waiting on the food to come, while shopping, etc. I’ve learned to knit while walking.

Did not do well in bowling today, but had lots of fun. My average is at 117 which is good for me, though it did go up to 119 the other week. I haven’t been doing well lately. I wanted to concentrate on bowling as I’m trying to get my average back up. Considering how I did, I probably should have just brought my knitting. It would have been more productive. My team isn’t very serious about bowling, we’re in the league more for fun and socializing. Which explains our 27th place ranking out of 30 teams. Which is about where we usually are each year.

Okay, time to get back to knitting...I can probably squeeze in a few rows before bedtime.
